I vividly remember the day that I first met Violet, sweet little baby girl, barely out of her mommy's tummy... It was her infant photo portrait session, Violet was sleeping, snuggled into a cozy blanket and new mom Nat was adapting to her new role with impressive ease!
Fast forward 2 years ... This ADORABLE family came out to see me at the barn for another photo shoot. It was November , the end of the fall season, the leaves were going away and the air was a bit cold. But they came anyway, to visit me and meet my horse Ransom and let their sweet dog Chloe have a run with the barn dogs. Violet wasn't sure at first about the horse but I could tell she would trust the judgement of mom, dad, and Grandma. Joey, Nat's husband, was no scaredy-cat when it came to getting up close and personal with Ransom and we decided the time was right to have a little hack with Ransom out back. Nat and sweet little Violet enjoyed a stroll around atop Ransom while Joey led. The only issue to contend with was Ransom's insatiable appetite, it was a job and a half to keep his head up. You can witness the evidence, he has grass poking out of his mouth in half the shots! Anyway it didn't matter, everyone had fun with Ransom and when he was taken back to the barn we spent a little more time wandering around, snapping some beautiful family portraits! Violet seemed like quite the little equestrian and I bet dollars to donuts there is a pony in her future!
